We're loving all the sleep that we're getting on our trip, hmmm what bliss! Woken again this morning by blue skies and warm sunshine on the tent. Tent 2 has a couple of roof 1/4 lights- zipped mesh triangles set in the top of the inner tent that allow you to view the stars or blue skies through a clear plastic section in the tent roof. There's also a little zipped semi circle directly behind my head at ground level affording a view out through another window in the outer tent, presumably to watch the bunnies! In the last hour that I've lain in my sleeping bag reading emails and updating the blog the sun has disappeared - hoping it's a temporary blip. 
Beautiful day today with temperatures set to reach 26deg so we've decided to explore nearby Ruislip Lido with it's lakeside railway, artificial beach and woodland walks - great to have this on your campsite doorstep!
Improbable address to camp this evening by Greenford roundabout but Brambles has turned out to be another of those hidden Guiding (and Scouting) gems. Just a few minutes walk to the Central line direct into London, this idyllic haven is tucked securely away and offers a unique 'countryside in the city' opportunity. Do I sound like a brochure advert? Well I mean to! Guiding owns/leases so many wonderful places and we don't shout out about them often enough. Another extremely enjoyable evening with excellent company - thank you Debra, Desiree and Middlesex South West.
