Big thank to Fairfield Division, Croydon for kindly hosting our Day 2 stay at Radcliffe when the builders were coming in to commence work on a new kitchen extension this morning. By the time we left they had already taken up the path and the digger was moving in!
'Getting to know the geography of the region better' means exploring shopping centres we've decided. It was off to Bluewater this morning to buy a
card reader for the iPad so that we can view the film footage as we go around. I'm always impressed by the level of service and knowledge in Apple stores and this one was no exception, however it was a group effort involving 3 young men before we hit upon the solution.
Treated ourselves to Mexican street food in Wahaca, tested Nick's taste buds just a bit too much though, perhaps it's a good job that he's not coming to Our Cabana next April with the GLK leaders!
Found a Geocache somewhere close to the lake before we left and headed for Guideland in Kent West. Another wonderful reception from the Leaders and Guide Jessica and Rainbow Charlotte. As I write this entry, lots more people are arriving bearing plates
of food - looks like we're going to have a great evening! Lots of people are camping too which will be fun.
This morning's forecast promised rain by this evening but that's all changed - phew - but it looks like it's only postponed til the early hours, shame. We're keeping our fingers crossed that it will have stopped by the time we venture off to Chatham Dockyard tomorrow.
